City Crematory was located on the southern banks of Buffalo Bayou, just east of the Jensen Drive Bridge, as shown on W.E. Wood's map of 1868-69. By George E. Wolf Jr./2007
On May 24,1990, I found the possible ruins of the City Crematory, just south of Buffalo Bayou and east of Jensen Drive. The brick ruins were fairly deep in the ground. The dirt around it was dark with ash. The Crematory was later covered up.
